Dost

What it does

Dost tries to support users through personal conflicts such as anxiety, substance abuse, and other issues by conversing in a relatable tone, constructing an understanding of their emotional context, and crafting follow up messages to check up on them regularly. Three separate Gemini API models were tuned for each of the above use cases which has allowed us to create a relatable chat bot that responds to match the tone of the user and ask specific questions about their wellbeing and their interests. Dost provides an addition to the user's support system that can be relied upon at any time, that user's can have a fun conversation with or vent to during their times of crisis. Dost also responds to users with helpful suggestions in its replies and follow up messages.
