Natural language meets scientific database to help 90% of Americans
What it does
Users input food items and the quantities consumed in natural language. Gemini API converts this to a list of basic ingredients and their corresponding weights in grams. This list of basic ingredients is matched to a scientific database, and the total fiber content is computed reliably. Fiber content is monitored because more than 90% of Americans do not have enough fiber content, leading to chronic diseases. This App can be extended to other nutritional metrics such as protein content, calories, and micro-nutrients.
