PainApp

Uses Gemini to create visualization exercises to help your brain heal.

What it does

PainApp is built on the principle of neuroplasticity - the brain's ability to rewire itself. It guides the user through a series of interactive exercises designed to promote positive neurotransmitter production, followed by personalized visualization sessions generated via the Gemini API. Neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin help our brains to create and strengthen new synapses and learn new pathways.

We begin by asking users to describe their pain experience. This information is then used by Gemini to create tailored visualization scripts and mantras, helping users focus their attention on a pain-free state. The goal is to facilitate a shift in neural pathways associated with chronic pain.

Thank you to my parents who volunteered to test this app out and appear in this video. My step mother Jen had 8/10 hip pain. By the end of the exercises her hip was pain free! My dad, Tony, has significant pain. We focused on his tailbone pain. While it did not completely go away, it was dramatically reduced. He asked, "What are you doing to me?" I told him it was Gemini who was helping!

If we visualize ourselves as pain free, and especially in the presence of good neurotransmitters we can teach our brains to create new, healthy, pain-free pathways.
