What it does

Tale is an android app wonderfully crafted to auto detect and collect reels oriented videos saved on your device, specifically targetting the favourite reels we do pull off from our favourite social media apps like YouTube (shorts), tiktok, Facebook etc...

This app will automatically detect the reels-like video on your device, collates them all together in reel-like scrolling video player layout,it saves you stress from looking for a longtime saved reel one after the other in your gallery app, so you could just have those reels in one place and it gives you the feel as same as when you're using your social media apps to browse through reels on the internet.

That's not all, it gives you the flexibility to share your saved videos to friends and other sharing apps, create playlists for your reels, add loved reels to favourite and the most intriguing of them all is that, you can get automatic, accurate information and description of your reels by clicking on the Gemini powered magic button and wait for your fast fetched rich description of your video/reel.


So, I present you Tale - Your Gemini API powered local reel video player

# How I used Gemini
I used the GeminiApi through the vertex ai for firebase sdk version in the android app, and the main function of the gemini ai integration is to generate description and information for videos in the Tale App.
