What it does

My app performs comprehensive sentiment analysis on product reviews to uncover valuable insights about customer opinions. It leverages the Gemini API to process and analyze large volumes of review data, generating simple sentiment metrics. For now, the app is limited to amazon reviews, but it is easily expandable to other sites, like google reviews. It can also be used to improve existing software like the YouTube algorithm by generating sentiment data in the backend. Here's how it works:
Data Collection: The app uses a web scraper to gather both historical and recent reviews. However, in the future this can be done with APIs like Google for business and Amazon seller platforms (I cannot access these but the API's already exist)
Sentiment Analysis: With the Gemini API, it performs sentiment analysis on the collected reviews. The API evaluates the text to determine the percentage of positive, neutral, and negative sentiments, and extracts significant factors affecting the product.
Visualization: The app generates pie charts to visually represent the sentiment distribution. It also provides a comprehensive summary, including key positive and negative factors.
The Gemini API's natural language processing capabilities ensure accurate sentiment assessments and meaningful insights, helping businesses understand customer feedback and helping consumers find good products.
