Unifind

What it does

My app, Unifind is a web application that uses Gemini to help students with their college decisions. Essentially what it does is it gives recommendations based on user information. The information includes:
- Academic Status (including GPA, SAT, ACT)
- Financial Status
- Extracurriculars
- Interests (Hobbies)
But it can do far more than that. Here are some other functionalities that my web app has:
- Users are able to look up for other users that they know
- Users are able to search universities and gain insight about them
- Users can edit/delete their profile.

Gemini is used in my application for 2 things: Recommendation (as mentioned before) and Automation. I, along with my friend, used Gemini alongside Bing to collect and generate university data and store the data in MongoDB. Essentially, we automated the process of collecting university data. We currently have 172 universities.
