World Prayer and Wellness App

What it does

The World Prayer and Wellness App powered by Gemini is a web application that exists to empower everyone on the planet to spread positivity and affect change in our world, a country at the time. The user experience through this application follows the following flow:
• A user picks a country through its location on the interactive globe or the drop-down menu. The user can also ask the app to select a country randomly.
• The app searches the web for all news related to this country, analyzes the news and shows the user a few headlines. This is done using the news-api.
• Based on its analysis, the app suggests to the user a few prayer requests and reasons to be thankful about the specific country chosen.
Specifically, Gemini is used in the app in the following ways:
• Analyses news from sources across the world. This sentiment analysis is done via prompting the Gemini API based on the news headlines.
• Suggests prayer requests to be said, tailored for a specific country. Gemini helps turn negative headlines into prayer requests.
• Suggest reasons for which the user can be grateful. Gemini helps turn positive headlines into reasons to be grateful
