Compatibilidad con OpenAI

Se puede acceder a los modelos de Gemini con las bibliotecas de OpenAI (Python y TypeScript/JavaScript) junto con la API de REST. Para ello, debes actualizar tres líneas de código y usar tu clave de la API de Gemini. Si aún no usas las bibliotecas de OpenAI, te recomendamos que llames a la API de Gemini directamente.

¿Qué cambió? ¡Solo tres líneas!

  • api_key="GEMINI_API_KEY": Reemplaza "GEMINI_API_KEY" por tu clave de la API de Gemini real, que puedes obtener en Google AI Studio.

  • base_url="https://generativelanguage.googleapis.com/v1beta/openai/": Esto le indica a la biblioteca de OpenAI que envíe solicitudes al extremo de la API de Gemini en lugar de a la URL predeterminada.

  • model="gemini-2.0-flash": Elige un modelo de Gemini compatible

Pensando

Los modelos de Gemini 2.5 se entrenan para analizar problemas complejos, lo que mejora significativamente el razonamiento. La API de Gemini incluye un parámetro de"presupuesto de pensamiento" que brinda un control detallado sobre cuánto pensará el modelo.

A diferencia de la API de Gemini, la API de OpenAI ofrece tres niveles de control del pensamiento: "low", "medium" y "high", que se asignan a 1,024, 8,192 y 24,576 tokens, respectivamente.

Si quieres inhabilitar el pensamiento, puedes establecer reasoning_effort en "none" (ten en cuenta que no se puede desactivar el razonamiento para los modelos de 2.5 Pro).

Los modelos de pensamiento de Gemini también producen resúmenes de pensamiento y pueden usar presupuestos de pensamiento exactos. Puedes usar el campo extra_body para incluir estos campos en tu solicitud.

Ten en cuenta que reasoning_effort y thinking_budget tienen funciones superpuestas, por lo que no se pueden usar al mismo tiempo.

API de Batch

Puedes crear trabajos por lotes, enviarlos y verificar su estado con la biblioteca de OpenAI.

extra_body

Hay varias funciones compatibles con Gemini que no están disponibles en los modelos de OpenAI, pero que se pueden habilitar con el campo extra_body.
